Design Bridge played with typography and tiger's stripe for Walker Brand's new snack for the UK, Tiger Nuts. Walkers is bringing its flavour and quality expertise to the nut category with the launched of this intriguing brand with wonderful typographic illustrations by Chris Mitchell.
"Design Bridge was invited to create the identity and packaging for the new brand, which is named after the distinctive product’s tiger stripe patterned coating.
Playing on the notion of a tiger’s stripes being used for camouflage, an intriguing TigerNuts identity was created using a unique type that cleverly morphs into the face of a tiger.
The bespoke lettering for the identity was hand crafted by illustrator Chris Mitchell. Adding further personality to the pack, the design features extra detail within the bar code, which shows a tiger hiding in long grass.
TigerNuts is available in four tempting flavours: Salt and Vinegar, Masala, Sweet Chilli and Smokey Bacon. Creating great impact on shelf, the new design brings Walkers’ humour and personality to life in this new venture within the snacking aisle."
