New household sized packaging for ingredients which are normally only found in bulk.
"Sous Chef is a new informative online retail business, supplying hard to find chef’s ingredients to the home chef. The company’s website has recently launched, unveiling branding and packaging design created by entrepreneurial branding agency Robot Food.
Sous Chef specializes in ingredients which are usually only found in bulk for catering, as well as offering a range of cook books, equipment and specialty world foods.
The scope of the design included suggesting packaging formats and creating versatile branded label templates to be printed by Sous Chef. As a range of high quality products for the serious home cook, the look and feel is professional, functional and uniform. The website layout, shipping packaging and corporate stationery were also all considered and designed by Robot Food.
'As a serious independent start up, we required a timeless, iconic identity that would allow the products to speak for themselves.' Said Sous Chef Founder, Nicola Lando.
Robot Food Lead Creative Designer, Martin Widdowfield added, 'It’s been great to deliver a solution that’s so fitting with the business proposition. We wanted the end result to appear functional rather than designed, although of course a lot of effort was made to ensure this was the case.'”
