The Barber’s trade is an ancient practice, and early barbers were trusted men of medicine and healing.
In addition to your shave and trim, Barbers performed surgical procedures like blood letting and teeth extraction. As a nod to these early duties, Blind Barber Packaging is inspired by pharmaceutical and medical labels. It was our way of referencing the old-school spirit that drives the Blind Barber brand without being nostalgic in design.
“We wanted a clean, modern aesthetic, with a simple, graphic presentation, so we used the lines as our main graphic element and custom iconography to provide visual information, while the typeface we chose references vintage Fight Posters.”
