Student Spotlight: Monks Coffee

This was a packaging design project for Monks Coffee Co in Abilene TX.

The most appealing thing about Monks is it's eclectic and home town feel. A big marketing factor that they have is the fact that each and every coffee cup they have is different. I can remember growing up and going there and always using the same mug. I guess you could consider this "sustainable package design as well". The idea I had behind this was that someone would purchase this package once and then be able to come back with this "paint can" like package and refill it over and over! This coffee shop is marketed towards the artist/designer/musician type. They cover their walls with local artists and fill the air with indie music.
