One of the most interesting things about Matter Strategic Design’s 2011/2012 holiday gift is the fact that it’s not a holiday gift at all.
It’s a cleverly packaged collection of “ideas journals” in celebration of the New Year. And, as with the firm’s past seasonal gifts, arrived in clients’ mailboxes well after the mayhem of the holiday period had worn off. The package is a zipper-perforated mailer that separates the year “12” into parts “1” and “2”. Once opened, the mailer reveals two beautiful notebooks and a personalized letter encouraging the recipient to keep one and share the other with someone who matters to them.
