"Led by their innovative Global Design department, Starbucks wanted to create Independent feeling coffee shops in urban areas. The inspiration for these shops would come from the neighborhoods they were constructed in. In the heart of Seattle's Capitol Hill, 15th Ave Coffee and Tea became the testing grounds for this new idea. With back room copy machine an inspirational image provided by the client and a request that the logo include the street name - this 'indy' coffee shop found its identity."
