Student Spotlight: Whitfield’s

Published

“The aspiration for this project in particular was to crate a Victorian identity and packaging for the soap company, Whitfield’s. Amidst other characteristics, this era of design is known for its proclivity towards abundance, a ‘why use 1 typeface when you can use 10?’ sort of attitude. Thus I took this mentality as far as I could think to when producing the final conceptualization for ‘the soap of the gods’.

The labels were printed on water-slide decals, which were effective but a pain to apply.”
