Chase Distillery produces the UK’s only potato vodka. Chase Vodka (formally Tyrrell’s Vodka) is made from Herefordshire potatoes and distilled using artisan methods. I read about them recently and discovered that the company actually made potato chips and then sold that business to focus on a new direction for potatoes: distilling potato vodka. They did such a good job of it that the product has already won awards for its exceptional quality. The packaging is quite nice, but the story behind the company lends even more meaning to it.
