Here is a vintage cut plug tin by W.M. S. Kimball & Co. It's graphics are very different from the previous tobacco tins we've been posting. It also opens in a somewhat surprising way. Have a look!
"This excellent condition early Pedro Cut Plug Smoking Tobacco tin was manufactured by Wm. S. Kimball & Co. The American Tobacco Co. Successor and sports fabulous graphics: an ace high flush, two one-eyed jacks, a corncob pipe, and a Native American peace pipe.
The tin’s deep mustard ground with red and black highlights creates a striking color scheme and is an excellent example of art nouveau period Americana. The tin measures 4 ½” tall, 7 ½” wide, and 5” deep." - Z&K Antiques.
